It's been a bit warm to spin with my drop spindle over the last few months..but that doesn't mean I've forgotten about it.
I'd just like to show you my progress.
Above, is my first completed attempt...hmm....

(anybody got suggestions of where I'm going wrong?)
Above is my very latest attempt...I admit, I'm much happier with this.
The latest attempts of spinning are much neater and consistant, I'll have to wait and see what it looks like when plyed etc..
I've read books, watched videos and practiced and I'm hoping if anybody has any suggestions about plying please leave me a comment.

The stitch was easy and, I think is very effective. It produced a lovely dense, woven feel.

I'm just about to start my third (and last)100gram ball of Regia Lace.
It's so long and very difficult to photograph.
I'm enjoying this easy knit and am looking forward to wearing it soon (hopefully!!)

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous knitting! The spinning - well, I'm no expert, but my solution would be to put a lot more twist in when you ply. Try that and see how you get on.

Nice to see you here again. I love that scarf...perhaps even I could manage that!
I'd also suggest making sure your spinning the spindle in the right direction when you ply! For plying you should be spinning it in the opposite direction from how you spun the singles.
These are really nice.. I remember Mrs Weasley and the sweatshirts and scarves she weaved for her kids and Harry and Hermoine as well. I think I won't feel any coldness if I wear your scarf. :)
