As I sat on my balcony this morning enjoying the warm sunshine, I heard a sad, tweeting from within the grape vines that grow up the pillars of our house..
I finally discovered an ash-covered, disoriented little fellow..It's Ernest..I was expecting him last week..and had begun to think something awful had happened...
Ernest has come all the way from the UK and obviously got lost in the volcanic ash clouds.
He last visited Cathy, who gave him his knotted hankie, which amazingly he's still wearing..
His family are here. so I best send them a message to say he's arrived safely.
He's relaxing in the dark at the moment..I think he's finding the sun a tad bright!
More pics soon...

Your post made me roar with laughter........ loved it!
Glad he arrived. I think he needs a hammock to sleep in, would look great among the vine leaves.Maybe a long cool drink aswell. Come to think of it, so could I. XX
