Handmade Gifts..

I love making gifts...and last Christmas was chockablock with homemade goodies...
first up, these leggings for Lirys...
and the crocheted wrist warmers for Bethan, pattern from Lucy
Always difficult to take a photo of a 6 month old...
This little dress...it will fit just right in the summer...I used the pattern from here

Oh dear...guess who forgot to iron it before taking the photo..?
and this...I enjoyed making this...the pattern is here at Marmalade Rose.
I made more goodies, decorations for the tree, crochet snowflakes, paper snowflakes, engraved pebbles and used them as place settings.....such fun....but we were all so ill over the holiday, I just didn't take many photos...never mind...!

Glad you're back at last and sorry you were so ill. The handmades are lovely..beautiful colours.
I used to make all my own dresses(in the 70's) and I saved loads of small pieces of fabric to make dresses for the little girl I never had. I've finally used them for linings and backings of bags and brooches. I got my sewing for children fix with such things as dressing gowns, and art aprons for my boys.

The leg warmers are fantastic! I've never seen a baby in leg warmers, and they're very cute. Love Liry's stripy jumper from the Debbie Bliss pattern too! Love Vanessa xxx

Ooooh sneaky peak of baby!! I have found a knit & natter on a wednesday evening, so you never know, I may finally learn to master the needle/hook thingy!!

Glad to a post from you at last lady, have they let you off nights for good behaviour??

Me? lead you astray with baking? no! I have wondered about red velvet cup cakes, but unsure, do they contain a lot of colouring (only the 10 year really does not need any help in the high energy stakes...)

Loved the dress, Lyris is one lucky little lady.

Love Lydia xx
