String-a-long 2010, Week 3.

Here it is...ta da!!
My knitted string bag.
I'm rather proud of it!
It's small but strong and as you can see, holds rather alot.

Because I had to print the pattern I didn't have photos to check so when it came to joining the rim to the handle I was rather flumoxed..
A quick email to Rattling On and I was delighted how easy the whole Kitcheners technique worked..
As there's only one more week to go on this challenge I'm not sure whether I'll complete a whole bag but I'm jolly well going to try.
This lovely little bag will used to carry produce from the kypos..(allotment)
You can see more string bag knitters on Mousy Browns House.
Thanks you 2 for arranging this challenge, I've enjoyed it, Posted by Picasa

A super bag, and lucky you to be able to fill it with lemons! :O)

Looks good to me. That's the one you were doing at Sylvias isn't it?

That has turned out soooo well. The only problem I have is how jealous I am of your photo location. Sun, lemons, sun, sun...

You are clever, aren't you. Are they also your lemons? Rainy here today, how about you? (How's the bump progressing?)

It is so lovely to have internet connection at home at last and that I am able to spend a very rainy day catching up with the people I have missed over the last couple of months. I have been catching up with some of your past activities and almost wept over the state of the donkey with the bad legs. I am most impressed with your vegetables and very envious, on a day like this I cannot imagine anything growing - cold, grey and very wet ideal blog reading weather!
Am also very impressed with this 'string' bag, it's fabulous, well done you.

PS thank you so much for your recent comments on my blog I really do appreciate them. xx

Fantastic bag and beautiful photos - like everyone else in the gloomy UK I am so jealous of your sunny weather! I am frantically trying to finish another bag before monday - how are you doing?? Glad you have enjoyed the challenge I have too - especially as it has lead to discovering lots of lovely new blogs to read :D

I fluffed the join completely...so all my photos show the Other side of the bag ...lol
(it's a strong join but ugly...if I was a crochet flower girl I'd cover it...but I'm not so it'll just have to keep me modest)

Love your bag it worked really well!!! and love the colour :0)
