Beside the Sea....

I'm not trying to rub salt in the wound.... but we are having glorious weather here.
The tavernas are empty.

The deckchairs have nearly disappeared.
Whilst I was driving Geoff to work and waiting to go to choir practise, I popped down to the beach.
Couldn't resist it, it's over 20 degrees (68f) and nobody is here!! It's a ghost beach!!
I'm sorry about all of you who are up to your knees in snow, sleet or ice. I'm sorry if it's raining, windy or just horribly miserable.
I thought I'd send you a few rays of warm sunshine. No, honest, I'm not gloating, I mean it!!

Our weather is going to turn rather nasty soon and we will have loads of rain and maybe some snow in a couple of weeks but for now...
it's glorious!!
p.s. go say hi to John here, he's new in blogland (and his son is going to marry my daughter in Sept. so we ought to be nice to him...)

I love the coast when the tourists are not there. In fact even the coast in the UK in the winter all dressed up in warm hats and gloves. There is something so special about deserted beaches.

Oh how wonderful. Were you tempted to swim?I was just pegging washing out and its windy and cold here. My fingertips are tingling as the feeling comes back now i'm inside!

Well, it looks just gorgeous and I can feel the warmth from here. Thank you xx

NO! I came here via Pip's - howdy! - and now can almost feel the pain of NOT being where you are! What a beautiful spot to occupy. Muddy fields out the back of me and right hand frozen on the mouse.

Jude, hi - have just noticed your alert to this blog on PC (spooky synchronicity) - and got here by clicking on your name there, so other PC-ers can, too. So don't worry.

Ah I am just up and read your comment om my blog. Decided to start my day off seeing some of your wonderful weather. Wish I were there. :)
Actually, altho it is still dark out, I can SEE lights across the valley which means no fog this morning. Hoping it stays clear. Thanks for sharing your lovely photos.

I'm here via Pipany and PC too - what a lovely blast of virtual sunshine! We're deep in fog and rain in the Pacific Northwest, so I loved the beach views!

Looks wonderful!
You should see it here, drains gushing into waterfalls, fields flooded, grey skies and mud, mud, glorious mud!

Slightly green with envy!

How wonderful, to have the beach to yourself! Enjoy it, and save the warm memories for when it turns colder. I love the sea, so thanks for the pictures!

Oh Jude! Thank you so much for these lovely photos. I love looking at beaches anywhere, but yours are exceptionally nice because there are not hoards of people on them (for now). What a great place for a run. We had a great day today: no snow, sunny and 55f degrees. Not bad for the middle of January!

We had the same thing here for about a week...sunny, warm and just plain wonderful but it finally happened, the sun is gone, misty, rain and cold. Enjoy your unexpected summer!

Jude, I am so happy that you have your lovely beach to enjoy. How nice for you to have some quiet and peace. I sat in the warm sunshine today, also. We should think warm thoughts for all of those who are cold and wet!
