For some strange reason I can't attach the button to my page at the moment but I'll keep trying.
I've got so many ideas and projects on the go at the moment my little note book is very handy...
This is a 'baktus', a traditional Norwegian scarf. It's very easy and quick to make. I first saw them on here. I then looked them up on Ravelry, found there are loads of different versions. This one is made from sock yarn so it's light but soft and warm.
I'm now knitting a mohair 'spiral scarf', I'm using a simple pattern from a stash busting book my friend Judith lent to me (thanks Judith..) This is also easy to knit and as there are only 10 stitches to deal with, I can sit in the evenings, by the 'somba' (wood burner) and enjoy clicking away to my hearts content.
I've just had a new consignment of this wonderful yarn delivered...you know who this is for don't you?? I've got a couple of projects ticked off in the Debbie Bliss baby books and will be starting something very soon....That reminds me!! I haven't photographed the last thing I knitted for the 'Bean'.

For those of you who have been following for a while, I'm sure you will recognise these squares.
I believe this will be my first and last hand-sewn quilt!! I'm now starting to sew all the squares together so I'll let you know how it goes.
I've also cut out and sewn together a quilt using some vintage fabric, it's made up of 10 inch hexagons. I've got the backing fabric but I'm still sourcing the wadding, it's not easy to get over here and we've discovered it would cost in the region of 50 UK pounds to be sent by post....hahaha!!! `

Think I am going to have trouble getting that book back off you. Oh and silly me I lent you another yesterday. Wonder if your Debbie Bliss book is the same as mine?
Love the baktus, might make one myself when I get my blanket done.
Love all that yarn Jude, and your hand sewn quilty project looks like it's coming along well. I've told John to leave room for wadding on the van...
Oh that fluffy pale blue scarf looks lovely.
That's the second time recently I have seen a baktus, off to Google them, they look really great. The wadding price is horrendous though! Great projects.
You are really spending your 20 minutes a day well. I love all you've been working on. I'm guessing 'bean' is a little one on the way? We used to call our first Granddaughter that after the first scan so it made me smile.
A x
I wish I could knit ...*sigh*!
Hello Jude!
Those scarves look good, I quite fancy doing one of those myself - ah well, it will have to wait til the blanket is done, my wool habit is spiralling out of control!!
Your quilt is quite beautiful, I do admire anyone who does this kind of thing!
Happy making, have a lovely weekend
Love Julia x x x
Gorgeous scarves.
And no you're not sad at all but I do think you'd like the Hairy Bikers ;)
You have been a very busy girl. I love the quilt you are working on.
Love the patterns of your quilt.
Jude I keep meaning to ask you which street you lived in when you were here! Up the hill from the quay was what you wrote, so were you past the georgian houses on the right? I used to have a cottage in Bohill, the first lefthand turn as you go up from the quay. When were you here? Qustions, questions! x
like all the goodies you are creating here. wonderful stuff. love the image of you knitting by the woodburning stove, brings of images of an earlier time.
you've been a busy lady. I should join that 20 minute group and not go over 1 hour!! I'm drawing and painting 2 hours before work and trying to get more in after work!! it's too much
I did a spiral scarf for my mom, she loved it.
Enjoy that baby yarn
A glutton of labybird in blog land at the mo, I also had this book.
Some fab work and welcome to 20minuters
I love that notebook! I have a 'Let Me Write' version. Good luck with your projects - alas, I am far too cack-handed to make anything.
