My friend Jenny, visiting from England, relaxing in the shade, while I weed and water our kypos.
All important business is done over a Greek coffee. You can also buy anything you need for supper out of the back of a van while you're there...snails, raki?
A quiet, cool corner to relax and read.
Rather a bad photo but couldn't resist this al fresco area by the side of the road..
My neighbour Sofia, sitting outside her home, waiting to chat to anyone who has the time.
More important discussions.......notice the lack of women?? Probably, in the kitchens or working in the allotments.
A cool courtyard.

and that's life...
Torrential rain outside as I read your post...... that's life indeed. The other woman's grass is always greener..........
:O)

Ooh, don't. It's bloody freezing here.
Lovely photos. Interesting, all of the important business gatherings! The hammock and the reading spots look SO relaxing! I really enjoyed your pictures a lot!
I am dying to visit Greece someday. I love the last photo and that courtyard.
Very nice photos-
they all have such a story to tell.
Have a nice weekend Jude:)
I love those alcoves, cool places...funny the men gathering...the woman on her stoop with her flowers, we know what's important to her. And the hammock. Wonderful.
And look, I am STILL HERE! Happy 100th!
Hmmmm that set of photos has made me more relaxed despite being in a very rainy UK July xxx
Jude, I get a sense of very relaxed living, take it easy sort of layed back little worries when I come visit this blog. Does wonders for me right now. Thank you!! :)
I love the idea of discussing business over Greek coffee and buying stuff out of the back of a van.
It amazes me about EEC regulations. It seems that out of the whole of Europe Britain is the only country that follows these regulations to the letter. Most of the others seem to just get on with things the way they always have done. Having said that I don't know if Crete is part of the EEC.
It all looks so relaxed there, the mediterranean area is the only part of the world that I have the feeling I would really like to visit.
Very enticing pics of Greece! Thanks!
So how's your Greek? Lovely photos.
So laid back and relaxed. This is the only sane way to live. Love the gourds on the wall in the reading corner, and the hammock in the shade.
i love seeing your life in Greece
Oh Jude, these are so pretty. I love looking at your world. Everything seems so romantincally different, but it probably is the same as here. Thanks for showing us around.
I loved looking at your pictures. It's so interesting to see your point of view on yard objects.
thanks for the look around Greece. that is a relaxing spot to read or just be. great post!
Love your neighbour Sofia and the little courtyard....
nice life
Thanks for the tour! One of my favorite things about Shoot Out is how we get to tour the world every week.
You took me back to my days in the U.S. Navy. My wife and I spent 17 days in Athens. Living space is at a premium, but the people are friendly and happy. I loved your shoot-out post.
Amazing and interesting photos!
Loved this series of pics.
It is so fun to travel with you and see all the beautiful sites. It looks like such a fascinating place to discover.
Crete is such a beautiful place and surely a place I would love to live in.
AH! Who would not love a post from Greece! Wish I was there, and I will make it one day and see these yard objects you have posted...beautiful...
That last photo is a dream, I couldn't agree more with ChefE? Crete is a beautiful place even if someone needs to tell those old men to move over for some good womanly advice!
Beautiful Crete, love those courtyard shots.
Raining here at the mo - what a lovely set of pictures.
What the heck women in the kitchen! Who ever knew.
I wish I was there , eating your courgettes ... instead of the rain we have here also
I love the last photo - the cool courtyard - excellent shoot out
looks like greece to me, so lovely...what a gorgeous place to live (i know i keep saying this to you jude).
You are capturing the real essence of where you now live Jude - it's gorgeous. Lucky you
