It must be magical there at the moment, and so interesting watching out for treasures and taking photos. It is such a beautiful country. We had a great holiday there some years ago. You lucky thing living there.
I took some photos the same as yours on the way home from the gardening club, only mine didn't come out right. Wrong setting. They do look lovely though.
They are all beautiful Jude.... I'm closing my eyes and imagining I'm there; this must be a wonderful time to be in Crete. (Thinking about Sissi for a future holiday - or Milatos???)

How beautiful. Most holidaymakers must miss this so, thankfully, you can enjoy it in relative peace. I am longing for the day when Mr Grigg and I are living permanently in the Ionian. We may sail over to see you!

We've got many of those flowers here too, even the Orchids. They are probably even rarer here but better protected no doubt.
We only get Cistus in the garden though.
Cornwall has a different set of Orchids as the soil is quite acidic. We have Early purple, Marsh spotted and Spotted. For some reason there are Bee and Pyramidal orchids growing by the side of the road at the Old Quay House at Hayle, they are normally species of chalk grassland.

Wow ... that 'pipe' flower is amazing - I've never seen nor heard of it before. How lovely that you found one. My other favourite is the pink poppy - so beautiful.
