Swaps and Giveaways.

Blogging has been suspended
for a week as I managed to inhale some grotty germs on the plane from th UK.
I know who it was and if I ever bump into them again, they will know about it!
I feel as if my ribs have broken, I've coughed so much and I do wish I'd practiced pelvic floor exercises more often...
But, whilst I was away enjoying myself, Elpitha, (the post lady) delivered some lovely swaps.
The first photo is of the Altered Oriental CD giveaway, thank you Genie

Below are the books JennyFlower was giving away, I can't complain about not having
enough reference books now.
Next, was my parcel from the Mug Swap, also with JennyFlower.

This came from Lindsey at Ethel and Edna's Tearoom, thank you so much.
I love the mug and all the embellishments, they will keep me busy for a while. I especially appreciated Lindey sending me a small envelope of angel's tears (worn glass from the beach) as she comes from my old stomping ground of SW England.
As I've been bed ridden most of the week (did I tell you I had a bug!!) I really liked the pillow stuffed with dried lavendar.

I sent to Kitty's Bloggy Bits, do you remember the lacy scarf I was knitting? The one which was the same shades of the sea? Oh, and a mug thrown by a local potter and some buttons and of course, some chocolate....
Hopefully, I shall resume blogging soon, I just feel too spaced out to write or photogragh anything at the moment.
ps. just a little something to entertain you if you have a couple of free hours,
look at Tag Galaxy , I'm addicted!

Tea and sympathy for your buggy sitution. Were you able to enjoy your visit with your daughter and do the wedding planning? Isn't that why you went? Did you get the bug on the return trip? I do hope you heal up soon. The goodies you got are all terrific. The embroidery book looks wonderful.

I've already done "the bug". It took two weeks to get over it; one week of suffering alone and one week of suffering on perscription drugs. Good luck.
Glad you had a fun trip and I love your little gifts. "Angel's tears", what a lovely terminology. We just call it "beach glass" here in the States.
Hope you are feeling better soon.

Hope you soon feel better! Is that a book about Cornwall in the background of the 'mug' photo?

Wishing you a speedy recovery.. honestly, what is it about planes that gives everyone the lurgy? (Duh! That would be the people who fly in them) It's enough to make you stay at home.

I absolutely love the things you sent me for the mug swap - will blog it very soon. Swaps are such a nice way to 'meet' other bloggers, as well as see (and own!) some wonderful handmade items.

Sorry to read you are feeling so grotty. Hope you feel much better soon. Take care :-)

Big sympathy from over here. I hate to get onto a plane and be stuck next to a sweaty, coughing organism. I just know that those germs are immigrating, millions by the second. Planes should have quaranteen areas :)

You poor thing! I hope you had a good time in the UK and went wedding dress shopping before you got sick. But you did get lovely goodies, and that's always fun.

Speaking of fun...I have so much fun with email that I accidentally deleted your address! Can you send to me again at Mim@dogpeoplerule.com????
thanks - and I won't lose it this time.

Wow, you are lucky!
But...unlucky to have a bug. I hope that you feel better soon, puppies are hard to care for when you're down. :)

Hope you feel better soon. I've been in the company of people who have been ill with coughs and colds and within a day or so have developed one myself - I know exactly how you feel.
