They are so pretty, thank you Sandy!!
She's been very busy this week, her huge quilted cushions are really coming together.
They are rather difficult to photograph because of the beautiful taffeta that surrounds them which reflects the flash.
Here's a close up of one showing the different Japanese prints in the centre, including that carp in the corner.
And here's Chris modelling her scarf , now including a pompom to finish it. She knitted it in a couple of nights. It's going to England with her next week.
As for me, well I'm STILL tying knots and tidying my last quilt. It takes so long but I'm determined to finish it before I show you. Not long now, I promise.

that carp fish is very attractive. and yes she will need that scarf in england and gloves and boots and a woolly hat.

what kind of olives do you want to cure? i do both green and black olives. here's how:

the black olives do come out salty, but they are also delicious. to rid them of the salt (which they need to be preserved), you can place them (once they are preserved)in a bowl of water when you want to use them, and keep changing the water every few hours until they are done to your liking.
the green olives simply need rinsing when they come out of the lemon brine (they are preserved with much less salt)
