Beside the Sea....

I'm not trying to rub salt in the wound.... but we are having glorious weather here.
The tavernas are empty.

The deckchairs have nearly disappeared.
Whilst I was driving Geoff to work and waiting to go to choir practise, I popped down to the beach.
Couldn't resist it, it's over 20 degrees (68f) and nobody is here!! It's a ghost beach!!
I'm sorry about all of you who are up to your knees in snow, sleet or ice. I'm sorry if it's raining, windy or just horribly miserable.
I thought I'd send you a few rays of warm sunshine. No, honest, I'm not gloating, I mean it!!

Our weather is going to turn rather nasty soon and we will have loads of rain and maybe some snow in a couple of weeks but for now...
it's glorious!!
p.s. go say hi to John here, he's new in blogland (and his son is going to marry my daughter in Sept. so we ought to be nice to him...)

  1. I love the coast when the tourists are not there. In fact even the coast in the UK in the winter all dressed up in warm hats and gloves. There is something so special about deserted beaches.

  4. NO! I came here via Pip's - howdy! - and now can almost feel the pain of NOT being where you are! What a beautiful spot to occupy. Muddy fields out the back of me and right hand frozen on the mouse.

Actually, altho it is still dark out, I can SEE lights across the valley which means no fog this morning. Hoping it stays clear. Thanks for sharing your lovely photos.

  17. Oh Jude! Thank you so much for these lovely photos. I love looking at beaches anywhere, but yours are exceptionally nice because there are not hoards of people on them (for now). What a great place for a run. We had a great day today: no snow, sunny and 55f degrees. Not bad for the middle of January!
